Our Aim
Go Jamboree is a website aimed to bring together all people who are involved in Jamborees and other international experiences.
Currently our main focus is the 21st World Scout Jamboree so if you're going to be there introduce yourself in the forum and you can get talking to other people going.
To bring people as may people together as possible this is a website shaped by its members. If a member wants something they need only raise their preverbal hand and we shall try to make it happen. You can do this by either using the forums Suggestion Box, emailing the administrators or moderators or through Private Message.
The Beginning
The Go Jamboree idea started with a discussion between IST in the German Black Magic Tavern at EuroJam 2005. Most of us had all 'met' though the UK Contingents bulletin board and we knew that it would soon close after the event. Not wanting to lose touch with all the people we had met we quickly setup a basic forum and quickly the site grew. Wanting to keep in touch we knew that we couldn't have a finite agenda so expanded the idea to encompass all Jamborees until we could no longer run the site.
What's with all the colours?
Don't you think they're pretty? :D The colours are there, as similar ones are in the Official Jamboree memorabilia and International Service Team logo, representing the full range of people in the worldcite. The reason is also that the intention of this site was to be a fun filled environment run by it's members for its members so fun bright colours are used to keep things jovial.
