only once but I got held up because a kid decided to sit up in the slide before he had finished and smacked his head. Then one of my kids "hurt themselves". you know the one who hurts themselves everytime they fall over and is fine agin in half an hour.

I only did challenge valley once, but at least i did, unlike some people who were afraid to get muddy because theyd been swimming earlier (you know who you are...)

I only did it once, but that might have had something to do with the fact I fell off the 10 foot wall and landed on my back, doing it in for the third time that camp! I didnt realise it was a sheer drop on the other side.

Some laindoners and a few IST may remember the incidents a) with the box of chocolates and b) with the swiss guy rope Crying or Very sad Not that Im complaining about the chocolate Very Happy Those that were there know who they are!

the box of chocolates - how could i forget that!

challenge valley was great, only did it twice (which is more than most of laindon apart from Beaky and Merry), but i also enjoyed making the rope and grass sledging (Beaky nearly crashed into the fence!)

Hi Guys
I also thought that Gilwell was the best off site day we had. The rope making was very good and I did my first ever absail. Not bad for an old git!
