I kno they don't like being called english by the french thats for sure, especially ol' Veg. Lets just say a french leader called him a silly english man and well thats why some french groups didn't get to play on certain sound and vision nights on the plaza stage.

there were 2 welsh units on oder, which one was it: cardiff or the ponty one? (cant remember the actual names)
i know scots hate people calling them english, so i take it the welsh would probably be the same (mind you how would the english take to being called scottish)

I wouldn't mind too much the Scots are cool! take you for example Fred! But I do get where your coming from. But i think it was a bit rude of the welsh to say they hated the English!

we met the bon accord lot from aberdeen, and they were really nice to chat to, and we also got invited to a rugby match involving kosovans, swiss and one of the welsh units...
by the way, i havent noticed that either of the welsh units seemed to hate the english, the cardiff lot kept hanging out with josh and the pony-place people were friendly enough to us (apart from at merrys lost property stunt)

We don't hate us. No really.

Having lived in Wales for 3 years (and am missing it like mad) I can say that i very rarely encountered any "oh you're english and therefore scum" - partly because Aber would be rather screwed without the student population drinking, working, eating, guiding and scouting. The only time i encountered any major problems was once with a group of drunks taking the piss out of myself and (now ex)boyfriend late one night.
In general, I find the welsh a relatively friendly, if a little hung up on the language, group.
