Did you know that the phrase "The Scout and Guide Movements" is gramatically incorrect?

But then the Jedi and Sith are all deciples of the same force, so I'm not contradicting anything here anyway.

Who are you Yoda? You need to be a wee bit shorter and have pointy ears to fill those tiny shoes!

i think you will find you are infamous, like jack the ripper, not famous like isaac newton!! and if you think guides are better, then you need to have your head checked Sport

I'll agree with you that guides are nicer than scouts, as they can be little......pains. But scouts is definatly better, we go on camps in tents, all my sister did in guides was stay in youth hostels and school halls, that aint camping, it's a sleep over! Plus we do better activities, you can tell because there ain't a camp goes by when we don't need to bring someone to hospital! hehe

scouting is soo musch better, uncomparable. i had the misfortion of camping with guides and a scouting group as to decide which to join...the guides were so...girly i wanted to gag, thus i joined scouts and went to eurojam...maybe its just canadain guides but they are freakish annoying creatures, no offence personally intended Wink

erm...we go on camps in tents, we pitch them ourselves and we cook on open fires, and the only reason i had to go to first aid was because of allstar here!

we're taught how to tie knots (not that i remember that many)!

evilkern - your sister had bad guiders, tell her to ditch them and go someplace better...

Comparing the two halves of the movement

Samwise is correct, there are good guide Units who do go camping, and do all the good stuff.

The main difference is that where the Scout programme states that Scouts should have opportunities to go camping, Guiding merely allows its members to go camping (while stresseing that residential activities are important). So that enables bad guiders to exist with far less guilt than bad scouters.

And be honest there are bad Scout groups who don't go camping out there too.

Picture has been updated to better present the colours of the respective lightsabres and those of the scouting and guiding organisations.
